Recently we seized 174 pounds of narcotics found hidden in the gas tank of a Ford Excursion. The smuggler had accessed the tank from inside the vehicle. To hide the access door he had cut into the metal floor, he covered it with Rhino-Liner, then put carpet and padding over that making it very difficult to notice that tampering had occurred.
In researching this, I have learned that auto manufacturers and most body shops do not utilize Rhino Liner in the interior of vehicles, especially under carpets. If you spot Rhino-Lining on the interior floor of a vehicle it may be wise to check it out.
