MANSFIELD, Ohio — A Mansfield Officer who fell two stories thanked God for his survival, FOX 8 reported.
Sgt. Toneli Webb was descending a flight of stairs inside a vacant home when they collapsed.
“I took the step and I heard it cracking,” Webb told the news site. “I was screaming pretty good because my leg and stuff was popping.”
Webb was investigating a call about a man entering the home. Officers had taken the man out of the house, but Webb returned inside to grab the man’s clothes upstairs.
The officer was taken to the hospital and had a lot of bruises, but no broken bones.
Webb told the news site he believed God was watching over him.
“I can’t explain my weight dropping from that high and nothing broken,” Webb told FOX 8. " It’s a blessing.”
Webb will return to work as soon as possible.
