DALLAS — A Dallas SWAT officer fatally shot a man who displayed a handgun after a family disturbance call.
Carrollton police say they received the call Friday from a residence, but found that the suspect, 52-year-old Travis Henderson, had left before they arrived.
Officers were told he had a firearm and planned to harm himself. Negotiators spoke with Henderson, who at some point left his vehicle with a handgun. Authorities say Dallas SWAT Sr. Cpl. Samuel McDonnold, fearing for his safety, fired.
