RICHMOND, Va. — A driver fleeing state police was tackled by a bystander after crashing his vehicle on Monday.
32-year-old Omar Smith failed to stop for a Virginia State Trooper, initiating a pursuit that ended when Smith crashed his vehicle and fled on foot, according to WTVR.com.
Witnesses say a Good Samaritan tackled the suspect, allowing the pursuing trooper to catch up and arrest Smith.
The suspect was charged with illegal window tint, driving with a suspended license and felony eluding police. He is being held under house arrest.
