SANTA CLARA, Calif. Move aside, cat burglars. We’ve got some puppy thieves on our hands.

Santa Clara County Sheriff’s deputies responding to a residential home alarm system on Tuesday discovered two unusual perps: a couple of very fluffy, very adorable puppies.

“Unknown if they were the actual culprits of the false alarm, but we have our suspicions,” Sergeant Rich Glennon said. “But they are adorable nonetheless.”

The puppies were read their Miranda Rights but appeared unrepentant about tripping the alarm with their floofy little paws. They are, in spite of this, very good dogs.
