SAN DIEGO — San Diego police said Thursday they will review an incident captured on video that shows a police officer’s violent struggle with a soccer fan he was trying to arrest at Tuesday night’s soccer match at Qualcomm Stadium.

The 49-second tape, which was posted on YouTube Wednesday, shows the officer slamming the man’s head onto the ground as he orders him to put his hands behind his back.

The man, identified as 27-year-old David Rangel, did not lose consciousness, but he was treated for a cut on his head before being booked into jail, said police Lt. Andra Brown.
