LIVINGSTON, La. — What started as a routine traffic stop ended with the arrest of an alleged rapist. A state trooper pulled over a man because his car was missing a tail light. While the trooper questioned the driver, a woman jumped out saying she’d been kidnapped and raped.
Police say had the trooper not made the stop, just after midnight on Sunday, the woman may not be alive today. Livingston Parish Sheriff Willie Graves says the woman’s alleged kidnapper may have been stalking her.
Wednesday afternoon, a calm Allen Lee Martin, 24, said he did nothing wrong. But law enforcement agents say he didn’t end up in an orange jumpsuit over nothing.
