WASHINGTON — D.C. police released body camera footage that showed officers stopping what could have been a deadly attack, NBC Washington reported.
The knife-wielding suspect had cornered a woman in an alleyway March 25 and was attempting to rob her. The responding officers heard the woman screaming as they arrived and saw the suspect, 48-year-old Christopher Alexander Galloway, standing over the victim.
The department told the news site the actions of the officers possibly saved the woman’s life.
Galloway was arrested and charged with assault with intent to commit robbery.
