Adam Greene was treated for broken ribs, cuts and bruises

LAS VEGAS — A Nevada man and his wife are receiving $292,500 from Henderson police and the state of Nevada to settle a federal lawsuit stemming from the kicking and punching of the man during a 2010 traffic stop.

Adam Greene was treated for broken ribs, cuts and bruises after police and Nevada Highway Patrol troopers realized his erratic driving was because he was suffering from diabetic shock, not because he was drunk.

Video images of the beating recorded by Highway Patrol dashboard cameras were released Tuesday by Greene’s lawyers.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the Henderson City Council approved a $158,500 settlement for Greene. His wife received $99,000, and the state agreed to pay $35,000.

Henderson police say departmental use of force policies have since been changed.
