MILWAUKEE — A trio of Montana sheriff’s deputies were on a work trip in Milwaukee when they woke up to an unexpected sight: a 19-year-old stranger, asleep in a bed. So goes their story, documented in a viral TikTok video.
“This silly guy found the one Airbnb in all of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin loaded with cops,” Deputy Charles Pesola says in the video. “He woke up in handcuffs.”
According to Pesola, the deputies knew something was off when they found one of the doors ajar. They combed through the house until they discovered an intoxicated intruder and called Milwaukee Police, Pesola said.
In a follow-up TikTok video, Pesola said they didn’t press charges and that the wayward man wasn’t taken to jail.
Pesola says it was lucky the incident ended safely.
“What if that dude stumbled into a bed with a kid, or my wife. I mean, it could have been a different morning, right?” he said in an interview with WISN. “So wrong place, wrong time, lucky place, lucky time, that there’s dudes that actually know how to handle that.”
