Video: NZ police attempt to identify burglary suspect under blanket

DANNEMORA — The Counties Manukau Police posted on Facebook seeking the public’s help in identifying a burglary suspect.

The man covered himself under a duvet and crawled around a home. He stole cash and jewelry.

Police are looking for a man described as in his twenties, Caucasian and of slim build. Any information on the suspect should be provided to the department.

The post garnered over 51,000 video plays.

We need your help to identify the male in this video who carried out a burglary in Dannemora on the morning of March 20 2016. Sergeant John Roberts of the Counties Manukau Police Tactical Crime Unit says the male has covered himself with a duvet and crawled around the house stealing a number of items including cash and jewellery. The offender has been caught on internal CCTV footage.
