Publishing your agency policies online may seem daunting, but it promotes transparency, educates the public, and reinforces professionalism.

Consider this: An arrestee questions an officer’s actions. If policies require a records request, they may never check — or it costs the agency time. But if policies are online, the arrestee can verify for themselves, saving time and building trust.

Making policies accessible benefits both your agency and the community. We have nothing to hide.
