How many officers keep a handcuff key on their set of personal keys?
While off duty, having a handcuff key on your personal set of keys could be a significant off duty safety issue. Their presence could give away your profession as a law enforcement officer to an aggressor/criminal who is closely watching their surroundings. In the grocery store, in a bank, or in a bar, this clue could lead a bad guy to assume you are a police officer and that you may be armed. Now labeled as a threat, you may become the first target. Make sure you keep your personal and work keys separate. And remove the cuff key from your personal set of keys.
