TOOELE COUNTY, Utah — First responders rescued a man whose head was pinned between his car and a McDonald’s drive-thru wall.
FOX 12 reported a 19-year-old man was paying at the drive-thru when his money fell on the ground. He opened the door and reached out for the money, inadvertently hitting the accelerator. The vehicle went forward and crashed into the wall, trapping the man’s head between the door and the door frame.
When police arrived at the scene, the man was unresponsive and not breathing. Dashcam video captured the officers’ efforts to free the man. They first broke a window to shift the vehicle out of gear. Then, after a medic arrived on scene, they were able to push the car away from the building and free the pinned man.
The man was taken to a hospital and upgraded to stable condition.
