WOODSTOCK, Va. — The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office released body camera footage of a dangerous encounter with a knife-wielding man, The Northern Virginia Daily reported.

Deputies Erin Brogan, Timothy Wakeman and John Armentrout arrived at a domestic call last March to find 38-year-old Corbyn Lee Rush armed with a knife and yelling for officers to kill him.

Deputies urged Rush to calm down and commanded he drop the knife.

A couple of officers fired a TASER at Rush who seemed unfazed but dropped the knife.

No guns were fired in the interaction.

Rush was arrested and charged with three counts assault on a law enforcement officer and three counts assault and battery stemming from the domestic call. Last week, Rush was cleared of most charges.

Officers were praised for their deescalation of the situation.
