The Sept. 16 pursuit began when an officer observed a limousine driving significantly below the speed limit, according to the report. After attempting a traffic stop, the driver sped off, prompting a brief pursuit.

Video shows the driver losing control while trying to pass vehicles on the shoulder, crashing the limousine into a ditch. He then fled the scene on foot.

Pleasant Prairie officers, with assistance from officers in Illinois, established a perimeter and located the suspect several blocks away. After fleeing into a wooded area, the suspect was found by a K-9 officer and allegedly engaged in a physical altercation, which included biting the officer. He was eventually taken into custody without further incident.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine and other items consistent with drug dealing, according to the report. The suspect was transported to the Kenosha County Jail after being evaluated at a local hospital.

He faces multiple charges, including fleeing an officer, reckless endangerment, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and battery of a law enforcement officer.

The Pleasant Prairie Police Department thanked the Winthrop Harbor Police Department for their assistance, according to the report. No officers were injured during the incident.
