NEWARK, Del. — A Delaware constable died from a heart attack after responding to a call about a disorderly hospital patient.
Sgt. Michael Robinson, 48, collapsed while responding to help Wilmington Hospital nursing staff deal with the combative patient Oct. 12, the Officer Down Memorial Page reports. He leaves behind his wife, three children, parents and two brothers.
Sgt. Robinson served with the Christiana Care Health System Department of Public Safety for 13 years. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran and a volunteer firefighter with the Belvedere Fire Company.
