Take precautions with helmets

If you stop a motorcycle rider, snowmobiler or other driver who might be wearing a crash helmet, make sure they’re ordered to remove their helmet and to place it on the ground or in some location that’s not immediately accessible to them. Aside from the fact that this will obviously better your ability to communicate with the driver, a rock-hard helmet can be used as an effective blunt force weapon against you. If it’s on a subject’s head, it can be used to head butt you. In the hands, it can be thrown or swung at you.
