Editor’s Note: Many thanks to our friends at TASER International for equipping me with the TASER AXON Flex body-worn video camera and Evidence.com digital evidence management solution for secure video storage and retrieval.
During IACP 2012 in San Diego, I visited with my old friends at Panasonic (the Toughbook folks and I have a storied history which dates back before my time here at PoliceOne), and discovered that their latest offering is a body-worn video camera for law enforcement.
The new camera from Panasonic offers a 180-degree by 140-degree field of view, and connects via an Ethernet wire into the same back end system that the Panasonic in-car video systems use for file storage, management, and retrieval.
There I was on the trade show floor, wearing a body-worn video camera from my good friends at TASER International, talking with my good friends at Panasonic about their body-worn cameras.
Needless to say, I had an incredible impulse to offer up a toast.
“Here’s to our wives and our girlfriends. May they never meet!”
