AUSTIN, Texas — Echelon Front, a leadership consulting firm founded by ex-U.S. Navy SEALs Jocko Willink and Leif Babin, has announced a partnership with Nick Lavery, active-duty Green Beret and founder of Team MACHINE. The collaboration aims to provide leadership training specifically designed for first responders, focusing on principles of leadership and resilience.

Nick Lavery, who also serves in the United States Army Special Forces, is known for being the first Special Forces operator to return to combat as an above-the-knee amputee. He is the best-selling author of “Objective Secure: The Battle-Tested Guide to Goal Achievement.”

The initiative between Echelon Front and Lavery centers around the “Roll Call” program, a one-day intensive training designed by Willink and Babin. Targeted at law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, and military and government personnel, the program aims to impart practical leadership strategies suitable for high-pressure environments. The curriculum leverages the leadership experiences of its founders to provide participants with tools for effective decision-making and team management in critical situations.

This partnership was solidified following Lavery’s participation in the “Jocko Podcast,” highlighting a shared commitment to fostering leadership skills among those in demanding roles. Both parties express a mutual dedication to enhancing the capabilities of first responders through focused training.

“We are honored to join forces with Nick Lavery and Team MACHINE to expand our mission of empowering leaders with the tools they need to succeed,” said Jocko Willink, co-founder of Echelon Front. “Together, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of first responders, helping them navigate challenges and lead with resilience.”

Nick Lavery, founder of Team MACHINE, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Collaborating with Echelon Front is an incredible opportunity to amplify our efforts in cultivating strong, resilient leaders. By combining our strengths, we can reach even more individuals in the first responder community and provide them with the skills necessary for effective leadership.”

The next training event is scheduled to take place in Mahwah, New Jersey, on April 26, 2024. These events are designed to benefit anyone required to lead in dynamic situations, offering insights directly applicable to the unique challenges faced by first responders.
