The llama was returned to his llama friends unharmed

SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. — Deputies Hollingsworth and Austin discovered an unusual obstacle in a roadway recently: a llama on the lam.

In a video posted Monday to the Solano County Sheriff’s Facebook, the deputies wrangle the llama and place him on a leash to walk him back to his pasture.

“The things they don’t teach you in the academy … llama wrangling,” the post said.

While the llama is being detained, four of his llama friends peek over the fence to see what the commotion is. The department reported that the llama was returned unharmed to his friends after a “verbal counseling.”

The things they don’t teach you in the academy….llama wrangling. Deputies Hollingsworth and Austin found themselves having to think outside the box to coax this llama out of the roadway after it escaped from its pasture. We are happy to report this wayward llama was unharmed and reunited with his llama buddies after a verbal counseling. We sped the video up for your viewing pleasure.
