  • Randy’s police career spanned three decades when he retired as a Field Lieutenant with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. To this day he remains recognized as one of the most highly decorated officers in department history with numerous awards for Lifesaving, Exemplary Service and Valor.   • Rich Emberlin is a 30-year law enforcement veteran who served most notably with the Dallas Police Department’s elite units, including Dallas SWAT, the Criminal Intelligence Unit and the Office of the Chief of Police. During his 15 years in SWAT, Rich participated in thousands of missions, including counter-terrorist operations, hostage rescues, barricaded suspect situations, and arrest and search warrant executions. As a detective in the Criminal Intelligence Unit, he was responsible for investigating protest groups and threats against government officials and police officers. Rich retired from the Dallas Police Department in 2016 and remains active in the industry as a law enforcement expert and instructor. He has appeared on shows including A&E Networks’ Live PD and Dallas SWAT, the Outdoor Channel’s Elite Tactical Unit and NRA-TV. Rich continues to serve his community as a reserve deputy for the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department.

  • Rick Wall is a retired police chief from Cal State University – Los Angeles. In his 38-year career, he worked for the Los Angeles Police Department, retiring as a captain and the University of Texas-Houston where he oversaw criminal intelligence and threat management. He developed the LAPD’s response protocols to persons in a mental health crisis and oversaw the mental illness project. Rick has worked extensively as an expert in use of force incidents involving the mentally ill and suicide by cop. He has testified before the United States House of Representatives, Committee on the Judiciary, on the impact of the mentally ill on law enforcement and has served on advisory boards of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and Police Executive Research Forum (PERF), and currently provides POST training on suicide by cop to law enforcement agencies.

  • Rob Hall began his law enforcement career in 1994 as a volunteer for the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office. Hired by the S.O. on January 1, 1995, he was fewer than five months into his career as a cop and just five blocks away from the Murrah Building when it was blown up at 9:02 a.m. on April 19, 1995. That incident defined many things for the rest of his life, including his dedication to law enforcement.     Ron Martinelli

    Ron Martinelli, Ph.D., is a former police officer and detective with over 22 years of street experience primarily with the San Jose (Calif.) Police Department. Dr. Martinelli, is a former director of a POST academy and a multi-certified use of force instructor who is also a forensic criminologist and a federal and state qualified police practices expert specializing in officer-involved shootings and major uses of force. He is NCCM Board Certified in Forensic Trauma, holds diplomate status in the Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, is a Certified Force Analyst with the Force Science Center® and is a recognized member of the American College of Forensic Experts Institute. Dr. Martinelli is nationally recognized as a subject matter expert in psychophysiology and officer stress-induced responses.

  • Ross Torquato has been employed as a Brevard County Deputy Sheriff for 18 years and was recently assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Training Unit as a full time instructor for the past five years. Now assigned to road patrol as a Sergeant, Torquato is the primary Use of Force and Defensive Tactics instructor for the 800-sworn deputies in the Sheriff’s Office.
