ROGERS, Minn. — Dash cam video captured a potentially deadly accident involving a state trooper and police officer.
According to KARE, Officer Jarred Peterson and a state trooper were responding to a jackknifed semi Monday when a second semi-truck careened into the two patrol cars.
Both officers were inside their vehicles when the semi-truck collided into them on the icy roads.
A driver on the scene to remove the semi-truck, Lance Burda, was also present during the crash.
Incredibly, no one was seriously injured in the accident. Officer Jarred Peterson was transported to a hospital and treated for minor injuries. The trooper was treated on the scene.
“When you look at a fully loaded semi hitting the back of a squad car and the fact that the officer walked away from it is nothing short of a miracle,” Rogers Police Chief Jeffrey Beahan told KARE.
It is not known if charges will be filed in the incident.
