A naked Randy Travis allegedly threatened to gun down the officers who arrested him on Tuesday as he was booked for suspicion of driving while impaired.
The Honky Tonk Moon hitmaker was busted in north Texas after he crashed his car in a construction zone.
He was handcuffed by police and placed in the back of a cop car, where authorities claim he made threats to “shoot and kill the Troopers working the case”, according to TMZ.com.
As a result, officials at Grayson County Sheriff’s Office also cited him for a charge of retaliation, in addition to the DWI.
Police officers had to give Travis, 53, a shirt and a pair of pants to wear for his mug shot, in which he sports a black eye and various cuts to his face — injuries sustained in the car accident.
He was still in custody as WENN went to press.
