OAKLAND, Calif. — An Alameda County deputy’s son was killed in a massive warehouse fire on Friday.

In the midst of their search, officials said one body recovered from the scene was a deputy’s son, the Associated Press reported.

The death toll has risen to 36, but investigators believe more bodies are buried in the rubble.

Alameda County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ray Kelly said that victims included 17-year-olds and foreign nationals from Asia and Europe.
