COLUMBUS, Ohio — After almost a decade on patrol, a Columbus police officer and his K-9 partner are retiring to live out the rest of their lives together.
WCMH reported Officer Bill Dorsey and K-9 Camile retired Tuesday after capturing suspects and locating drugs for eight years.
“You have a partner that you take home. Someone you can really trust and he’s there for you. He’s got you 100 percent,” Dorsey said.
Dorsey bought K-9 Camile from the department for a $1. The duo will run charters on Dorsey’s fishing boat during their retirement, the news station reported.
“We’re going to live a long life together. He’s really special to me,” Dorsey said.
