GREENVILLE, S.C. — Officers with the Greenville Police Department joined the pregnant widow of a fallen officer for a maternity shoot.
According to the Epoch Times, Meghan M. Jacobs was a newlywed and soon-to-be mother when her husband, 28-year-old Officer Allen Jacobs, was shot and killed on March 18 by a gang member. The gunman fled the scene and fatally shot himself.

Officer Jacobs was a military veteran. In addition to his wife and unborn child, he is also survived by his two sons.
Jessie Ellex, who took the photos, wrote about the shoot on Facebook:
“Officer Allen Jacobs was a well decorated army veteran and devoted police officer to the Greenville community. Meghan M Jacobs is expecting a baby girl in July and I was given the honor to capture these photographs for her.”
