Duty Death: Tase Sturgill - [Humphreys County]

WAVERLY, Tenn. — A deputy has passed away after suffering a heart attack during training.
According to ODMP, Deputy Sheriff Tase Sturgill was with fellow officers working on a new physical fitness program at the time of his death.
He was participating in a run at a local high school when he became ill and collapsed.
According to the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, police and EMS were unable to revive him.
Sturgill was a 12-year veteran of the department. He is survived by his wife and four children.
