WASHINGTON — A U.S. Park Police officer fatally shot a suspect after being wounded by gunfire, WTOP reported.

The incident occurred Nov. 22 when officers tried to engage with a man suspected of drug-related offenses. The man has since been identified as Turell Delonte Campbell, 30, according to the report.

The officer instructed Campbell to get down, “or you’re [going to] get hurt.”

“No, I’m not,” Campbell can be heard saying.
