WASHINGTON — A Davis County Sheriff’s Office deputy recently sang to a crowd in Washington D.C. as part of National Police Week.

Deputy Jessica Slagowski sang during a day-long event May 15 to honor fallen officers at the National Law Enforcement Memorial, according to Sgt. DeeAnn Servey.

Slagowski was invited to perform by the Fraternal Order of Police. Her song was part of a program to remember and honor officers killed in the line of duty in the past year and to recognize their family members, Servey said.

Servey said Slagowski is known for her singing voice and is often asked to sing at police events.
