Where did your company name originate from?
The name is short for Gemini Technologies.
What was the inspiration behind starting your company?
We wanted to prevent hearing loss caused by gunfire.
Why do you believe your products are essential to the police community?
If an officer needs to use his or her weapon to control a situation, the concussive sound from the rounds can permanently damage their hearing. To protect their hearing and for the department to be pro-active to avoid long-term hearing loss within the department as well as pay large sums in hearing loss disability claims, Gemtech believes all rifles within all law enforcement departments should be suppressed to avoid these issues.
What has been the biggest challenge your company has faced?
ATF lead time to approve filed paperwork and get the suppressor in the field.
What makes your company unique?
We have been the leader in design, testing and building all of our silencers from scratch for over 21 years. Gemtech is known throughout the industry as the best quality and hearing safe suppressors on the market. In our arms room, we have several suppressors that have fired well over 100,000 rounds and are still hearing safe, without having to replace any parts.
What do your customers like best about you and your products?
We make the shortest, lightest, toughest hearing safe silencers on the market.
What is the most rewarding part of serving the first responder community?
The most rewarding part is we provide a product that will save officers and civilians from hearing loss.
Do you support any charitable organizations within public safety?
Gemtech does product give away programs throughout the year to LE departments nationwide through our Hearing Safe social media campaign.
Is there any fun fact or trivia that you’d like to share with our users about you or your company?
We are working on a G-Core model for the M1 tank.
