Among the new products unveiled at SHOT Show 2013 was ArmaLite’s AR-10 Law Enforcement Carbine.
The AR-10 LE Carbine combines an A2 style front sight with the A4 flat-top upper receiver, making it easier to accommodate sights, scopes, lights, and other accessories often needed by officers.
The front site of the new AR-10 is taller than the traditional A2, which eliminates the issue with being unable to zero in on a target when a carry handle or flip up rear sight is used in combination with an A2 style front sight, on a .308 platform.
Features include a 16-inch chromed lined chrome moly, a Troy Medieval muzzle brake that enhances control and accuracy during rapid fire, and an ERGO F93 buttstock equipped with a cheek piece for constant and repeated weld in eight stock positions.
In a video from SHOT Show for AR15.com, Armalite Mark Westrom outlined some of the specs of the AR-10
Among the key features of the AR10 are:
— Caliber: .308/7.62X51mm NATO
