SAVANNAH, Ga. — Two former Tybee Island police officers have been indicted on charges of concealing the role of a non-certified jailer in connection with a May stun gun incident involving an autistic teen.
Chatham County grand jurors have charged 25-year-old Travis Daniel and 36-year-old Tim Sullivan with concealing the participation of Adam Thran in police reports involving the stun gun incident. They’re accused of reporting that only they were present during the May 21 incident.
Authorities shocked 18-year-old Clifford Grevemberg after they said he appeared drunk and became agitated when confronted outside a bar on the island. They found out he has autism after the teen was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge.
