Video: Coaching the mount escape

This video shows how to coach officers on two options to escape the mounted position. Prior to doing any physical repetitions, it is imperative that defensive tactics instructors discuss the mindset and emotional control officers need to survive this scenario. Officers need to mentally prepared to be hit, choked, or physically assaulted in this position, so that it does not shock them when it happens in real life.
