INDIANAPOLIS — Less than an hour after she was released on Thanksgiving, Shaday Gamble was back behind bars.

WISH TV reports that she had previously been incarcerated on preliminary felony battery and misdemeanor criminal trespassing charges. She was released from the jail following a court hearing the next day.

But less than an hour later, deputies were notified that someone was attempting to break into an unmarked black Dodge Charger patrol car left parked in front of the jail.

Deputies saw the car’s emergency lights flashing and “immediately recognized the individual as a female we had just released from the jail not even 60 minutes prior.”

They identified Gamble and approached her with weapons draw, afraid she had found a weapon inside the vehicle.

Once they saw she was unarmed, they tried to coax her out of the car but she refused, causing the deputies to use a stun gun to subdue her.

Though initially charged on preliminary felony charges of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, auto theft and resisting law enforcement, all charges were later dropped “since there was no damage and nothing taken from the vehicle.”
