CHICAGO -- A suspected bank robber was arrested as he left a Bank One branch in the Loop, after an off-duty Chicago police officer grabbed him.
Police said the suspect walked up to a teller at the facility, at 10 S. Dearborn, showed a handgun and passed a note demanding money.
The teller turned over the cash, but when the suspect tried to run off, he was immediately seized by the off-duty officer, who was dressed in civilian clothes and working as a security guard at the bank.
