(EHPRATA, Pa.) -- Donald E. Grimes, 73, of 913 N. Sixth St., Denver, died unexpectedly at 6:57 p.m. Friday of natural causes in the emergency room at Ephrata Community Hospital.
Grimes was a former chief of police in East Cocalico Township.
He was also a deputy with the Pennsylvania Game Commission and a member of the Cocalico Sportsman’s Association.
Grimes was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Born in Denver, he was the son of Stella Dunkelberger Grimes.
He is survived by one daughter, Wendy L. Larsen, Reinholds; and one sister, Marlene, wife of Robert H. Hammer, Denver.
