DENVER (AP) -- An off-duty police officer shot and wounded one of three masked gunmen attempting to rob a credit union on Friday.
The suspects fled St. Dominic’s after the shooting and drove away, but witness descriptions led police to their vehicle and they were stopped, police spokesman Sonny Jackson said.
Two men were arrested and the injured man was taken to Denver Health Medical Center. Police planned to arrest him when he was released, Jackson said.
No one else was injured. No names were released.
