Secret Service says bomb-sniffing dog picked up a scent on a car
WASHINGTON — A bomb-sniffing dog reacted to a vehicle that was being used for Israeli Prime Minster Ehud Olmert’s visit Monday, leading to evacuation of parts of a White House annex building.
Washington police were checking out the vehicle, which was driven by a member of the delegation that was staying across the street from the White House at the Blair House, according to Kim Bruce, spokeswoman for the Secret Service.
The incident was reported shortly before 3 p.m. ET.
