MANCHESTER -- A man claiming to be an off-duty state trooper was arrested yesterday after being found uninvited in the bedroom of a seven-year-old boy on Cedar Street.
Travis Janvrin, 18, who is listed as homeless, was charged with criminal trespassing and three counts of impersonating a police officer. The mother of the young boy found Janvrin in her son’s bedroom with the boy around 1 p.m. According to police reports, Janvrin told the mother he was an off-duty trooper who walked her son home from the nearby skate park.
The mother and her roommate each asked Janvrin to leave several times before he finally left the apartment. Police found him a short time later at Hunt’s Pool and arrested him without incident.
Police said the boy was not harmed and the case is being investigated by its Juvenile Unit.
