Neb. woman arrested 3 times for calling 911 too much

FREMONT, Neb. — Police arrested a 63-year-old Fremont woman Friday afternoon after she was accused of making repeated 911 calls.

Lt. Kurt Bottorff said Melanie Gifford made multiple emergency calls throughout the day, but declined help when emergency personnel arrived.

Gifford was charged with obstructing government operations. It was her third arrested for making false 911 calls since November.
