Officer converging on Tulsa, Okla. for conference on underage drinking

TULSA, Okla. - Law enforcement officers and city officials from across the state are heading to Tulsa for a 2-day conference on how to target underage drinking.

Seminars will focus on breaking up parties, retail compliance checks and identifying fake identification cards. Training will be held tomorrow and Wednesday.

Tomorrow night, participants will go to bars and restaurants throughout Tulsa, and underage shoppers will attempt to buy beer and alcohol at convenience, grocery and liquor stores to test compliance.

The training is being funded by the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
