MASON CITY, Iowa — When police got a call about a few skaters downtown, responding Officer Jay Stiles decided to join in on the fun, KIMT reported.
Stiles explained to the skaters they couldn’t do tricks downtown due to a city ordinance. Then one bet him he couldn’t do an ollie and Stiles couldn’t resist.
Video captured the former skater doing tricks with the skaters.
Stiles told the news site it’s important in situations like that to connect with the community and not everything has to be taken so seriously.
The department posted on their Facebook page, that Officer Stiles can do the trick wearing full duty gear.
