CHESAPEAKE, Va. — The Chicago Bears did it and challenged the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to do it.
The WWE tried it.
Even The Pilot’s 757Teamz crew gave it a go.
And this morning, a local law enforcement agency released its own version of the #mannequinchallenge.
A camera moves through the scene of people who appear to have frozen in time inside the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office, showing a deputy with handcuff-like restraints and a person who looks like prisoner standing against a wall, a person having his mugshot snapped, another person who looks like he’s being fingerprinted.
Conversations between people have stopped, mid-sentence.
The challenge is the latest to hit social media and seems to have begun late last month in a Florida high school.
Since it began last month, the video craze has included politicians, musicians, athletes and others.
