LAS VEGAS — A recent car auction raised over $1 million for Las Vegas first responders.

FOX News reported that the Barrett-Jackson auction was held at the Mandalay Bay hotel, where the mass shooting occurred.

A blue and white 2007 Mustang Shelby GT500 that was donated by Barrett-Jackson President Steve Davis was purchased for $1 million by DC Solar, a power company that does business in Las Vegas.

All proceeds from the auction will be given to the Injured Police Officers Fund.

“We want the first responders to know, especially in the wake of the recent tragedy, that we stand with you and we are proud to help however we can,” DC Solar COO Paulette Carpoff said.

A 2016 Jeep Wrangler Red Rock Edition that was signed by NASCAR legend Richard Petty was also purchased for $100,000, which will go to the UNLV Emergency Medicine Residency Program for EMS training and equipment.
