Minn. law enforcement wellness summit announced

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. — Minnesota is set to host a conference aimed at uniting law enforcement and mental health professionals to address and treat mental health issues faced by those in law enforcement.

The MN Law Enforcement Wellness Summit, set for November 1, is geared for law enforcement supervisors, officers, managers, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) professionals, Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team members, therapists, social workers, family and marriage therapists, and psychologists providing direct clinical care to law enforcement officers. The conference will not cover fit-for-duty exams or similar evaluations.

As part of the event, the Minnesota Law Enforcement Wellness Summit is conducting state and national research on mental health. The organization is seeking voluntary participation in a survey from Minnesota POST licensed officers.
