PHILADELPHIA — What really happened the night Osama bin Laden’s hideout was raided by U.S. forces may never be fully revealed.
But IDW Publishing hopes to shed some light -- with a bit of creative license -- on the event in an upcoming graphic novel.
Written by retired U.S. Marine Capt. Dale Dye and Julia Dye, the 88-page hardcover takes a calculated look at the mission. The authors say they wanted to keep the focus on those who planned, conducted and executed the raid, not politics.
The book is titled “Code Word: Geronimo.” It will be released on Sept. 6 in comic shops and book stores, ahead of the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
