GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Video of a Maryland K-9 refusing to get into a deputy’s squad car until he gets a belly rub has gone viral.

WJZ-TV reports that Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Costin tried to get his K-9, Jango, into his patrol vehicle last week, but the K-9 refused to go to work.

Jango finally got up after receiving a belly rub. Costin’s wife captured the moment on video, which has since gone viral.

“A beautiful Spring day makes the best Deputies want to play hooky!! Yes we all love working at the Sheriff’s Office, but just like our human Deputies, when spring fever hits even our awesome K-9s just want to go to the park and lie in the cool grass and maybe play a little catch….or um fetch,” the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook.

My boy Jango Fett really didn’t want to go to work today !!!!!!! I had to reason with him lol lol !!!!! #k9life #oldman
