TACOMA, Wash. -- A woman convicted of rendering criminal assistance in the shooting deaths of four police officers in the state of Washington has been sentenced to five years in prison.

KOMO News reports the Pierce County Superior Court judge turned down the prosecution’s request Thursday for a 10-year sentence for 34-year-old LaTanya Clemmons that would have exceeded the five-year maximum punishment guideline for the crime.

Clemmons is the sister of Maurice Clemmons, who gunned down the officers in November at a Parkland coffee shop. He was killed two days later by a Seattle police officer.

She paid for a motel room and bus fare for Darcus Allen, the alleged getaway driver.
