NEW YORK — Police are investigating the rape of an off-duty police officer by a masked intruder in her Brooklyn home.
The incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, shortly after the officer left work, police said Thursday. Investigators believe her assailant may have entered the apartment though a space meant for an air conditioner.
Once inside, the masked man raped the victim at knifepoint, police said. After he fled, she called a fellow officer for help.
No further information was immediately available.
